General enhancements
- Improved user session management: All users can now stay logged in to the HPP for 60 minutes and will not be required to login after 15 minutes of inactivity.
- Redesigned Terms and conditions (T&Cs) page: When logging in to the HPP, users can scroll through T&Cs in a single window rather than scroll down the webpage. Note, more enhancements to the T&Cs will be part of a future release.
- Improved usability of correspondence list: Unread correspondence now appears in bold and a new search filter has been added for easier correspondence management.
- Removal of dysfunctional online invoice payment option: Industry users can pay using payment options outlined in their invoice.
- Improved integrity of industry users: The system now prevents users from holding both ‘general user’ and ‘agent’ roles within the same organisation.
- Warning notification when contact information is missing: Industry users are now advised via a banner on the progress summary page if applicant contacts are missing.
- Clarified Authorised Representative (AR) requirements: Updated wording to clarify for industry that AR requirements are only relevant for PBS sponsors. A PBS sponsor must nominate a new AR before removing the last remaining AR.
Committee members and evaluators (or clinicians)
- Online user guides now available on the HPP website:
- Improved access to Prescribed List (PL) clinical assessments: The SharePoint link to access clinical assessments is now pinned to the top of the ‘Evaluations’ page.
- User can now hold dual roles as both evaluator and committee member: Users with dual roles will see tiles for both meetings and evaluations.
- Amendments to the Declaration of Interests (DOI):
- The end date of an interest can now be marked as ‘Ongoing’ if the end date is unknown.
- An interest will now remain active 5 years after the end date has passed.
- Private Interests Declarations as part of the DOI are now compulsory for all committee members (including dual role users).
- Improved view of Conflicts of Interests (COI) for committee members:
- Pharmaceutical Benefits Advisory Committee (PBAC) COI grid: Added agenda item number column.
- Medical Services Advisory Committee (MSAC) COI grid: Added agenda item description column (truncated with full text on hover).
Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS) sponsors
- Request for approved ex-manufacturer price (AEMP) submissions can now be resubmitted, reducing duplication of effort for iterative corrections.
- Request for AEMP submission linkage to a new brand, pricing offer package (POP) or list management service request (LMSR) is now clearly identified. A link to the original application will be in brackets. E.g., HPP12346 (HPP12345).
- Notice of Intent (NOI) for Pricing submissions can now be linked to a PBAC outcome that is ‘Advice provided’.
- Special Pricing Arrangement (SPA) information that is automatically populated from POP in a Request for AEMP submission is now editable.
- LMSR submissions can now be lodged for Efficient Funding of Chemotherapy (EFC) items.
- A PBAC or PBAC+MSAC co-dependent NOI submission can now be linked to a pre-submission meeting request.
- Sponsors can now opt to lodge their PBAC resubmissions as a standard re-entry submission, instead of using the PBAC nominated resubmission pathway.
- Sponsors can only lodge under the PBAC nominated resubmission pathway within two PBAC meetings after receiving a ‘Not Recommended’ outcome. The system will then default to a standard re-entry pathway.
- Integrated PBAC+MSAC co-dependent NOI submission cut-off dates are now enforced in the HPP.
- New ‘Sponsor hearing request’ correspondence category added for PBAC submissions.
- Submission progress pages now display:
- ‘Current proposed listing/pricing details’ on a POP, LMSR, new brand, or a Request for AEMP.
- ‘Requested listing’ on a pre-submission meeting request, NOI, PBAC submission or a NOI for pricing.
- Submission history.
Australian Technical Advisory Group on Immunisation (ATAGI) sponsors:
- ATAGI NOI submissions can now be linked to pre-submission meeting requests.
- Pre-submission meeting request deadlines are now enforced in the HPP.
MSAC applicants:
- Applicant Developed Assessment Report (ADAR) applications now support large file uploads of over 50 MB.
- Updated Declarations for MSAC applications at the creation and pre-lodgement stages to ensure clarity and alignment with current legislations.
- New ‘Applicant hearing’ correspondence category added for ADAR and Department Contracted Assessment Report (DCAR) applications.
