To sign in to the HPP you will need a myID, and your myID needs to be linked to the Department of Health and Aged Care in Relationship Authorisation Manager (RAM). This is a once off activity.
Step 1. Set up your myID
myID is the Australian Government’s Digital ID app you can use to sign in to a range of participating government online services, like myGov and the HPP. Find out how to set up myID at www.myid.gov.au/how-set-myid.
Step 2. Provide your myID details to the HTA Support Unit
Complete the table that was emailed to you, making sure that your name matches your myID details, and email back to HTAmembership@health.gov.au. The myID must be either standard or strong.
Step 3. Finalise RAM authentication
You will receive an email from the RAM with prompts to finalise your whole of Government Authentication. The email from RAM has an authorisation code which expires in 7 days. For more information on RAM, please visit https://info.authorisationmanager.gov.au/authorised-users-and-administrators#_accepting_an_authorisation.
Step 4. Sign in to create your profile in the HPP
Your profile will be automatically created when you first sign in to the HPP and accept the Terms and Conditions. You may need to update your personal profile details such as preferred email. Once you have first signed in and accepted the Terms and Conditions, please contact HTAmembership@health.gov.au advising you have HPP access. The Membership team will then link your profile to the current committee(s) you hold membership of and send you an email to confirm the HPP is ready for you to complete your Declaration of Interest.
If you are a member of an Expert Clinical Advisory Group (ECAG), your profile will also be linked as an 'evaluator/clinical assessor' so that you will be able to complete Prescribed List clinical assessments.
Troubleshooting
See below for some common errors you may face when signing in to the HPP.
You are not linked to a business that allows access to this service.
This error means that you have no active link to a business in RAM. This can happen for a few reasons:
1. if you have tried to login to the HPP without linking to the Department of Health, Disability and Ageing in RAM first.
2. if your previous RAM linkage to the Department of Health, Disability and Ageing has expired.
3. if your myID details (such as name or email address) have changed.
Sign into RAM to check if you have an active status against the Department of Health, Disability and Ageing. If you have no active link, please contact the HTA Membership team. They will need to work with the Department of Health, Disability and Ageing's RAM administrator to send you a linking code. See steps 2 and 3 above.
Once you have an active link to the Department of Health, Disability and Ageing in RAM, please attempt to sign in to the HPP once more.
Where you encounter any difficulties with RAM, please contact the ATO's support line on 1300 287 539 —myID (Option 2) RAM (Option 3) and technical (Option 4) enquiries.
Where you encounter any difficulties with accessing the HPP after you have successfully linked to an organisation in RAM, please contact HPP Support and the HTA Membership team.
Unauthorised access: You are not authorised to access this service. Check that you have the correct identity to proceed.
This error message informs us that the issue is with your myID.
This issue generally stems from the 'Identity Strength' of myID and can occur following a change of mobile device or the transfer of the myID app from one device to another. On encountering the error message below when attempting to log in to the HPP, the following steps must be completed to regain access:
- Ensure that you have reinstalled the myID app on your phone and re-registered yourself. When re-registering for myID, please make sure to register as the same user and strength as you did during your initial registration. Once you have re-registered with myID, you can test your myID connection by logging in with your digital ID here. If unsuccessful, proceed to steps 2 and 3 and retry/retest.
- Please email the HTA membership team. They may need to make changes to your RAM profile to activate the Submit button, which needs to be selected to send an email with a RAM authorisation code in it. For more information visit the ATO's RAM website.
- Once you have received the authorisation email, you will need to log into the RAM and enter the code from the email to accept the authorisation and reconnect your myID to your RAM profile. For more information, visit the ATO's RAM website.
- Once this step has been completed, you should then be able to log in to the HPP as normal.
Where you encounter any difficulties with amending your myID strength, please contact the ATO's support line on 1300 287 539 —myID (Option 2) RAM (Option 3) and technical (Option 4) enquiries.
Where you encounter any difficulties with accessing the HPP after you have successfully amended your myID strength, we ask you take a screen shot of the full page (including the URL and what browser you are using) and please send to HPP Support and the HTA Membership team.
The email address 'XX' is already taken - provide an email address to complete the external account registration.
This error means that the HPP considers you a new profile, and is not recognising your previous profile's login. This can happen for a couple reasons:
1. You have selected a different organisation at the RAM stage than you have previously when accessing the HPP.
To resolve this issue, please log back in to the HPP and ensure you select the Department of Health, Disability and Ageing. If you continue to have issues, please contact HPP Support with a screenshot of this error.
2. You have recently re-linked your myID to your organisation in RAM with a new linking code
To resolve this issue, please contact HPP Support with a screenshot of this error. The HPP Support team will work with your to re-map your HPP login to your existing profile.
Server Error in '/' Application: Entity Key Email Address Key violated. A record with the same value for Email address already exists.
This errors means your HPP account has been deactivated.
A HPP account will become deactivated if the user has not signed in for over 13 months. A warning email is sent after 12 months of inactivity, and another warning email sent 1 week prior to deactivation. A third email is sent upon deactivation. The HTA Membership Team may also deactivate your account if your membership term has ceased.
To reactivate your account, please email the HTA Membership team.
